Founding Engineer
Ensue is building the shared memory layer for AI agents. As agents scale, coordination and context - not models - become the bottleneck. We are building the infrastructure that lets agents share memory safely, selectively, and in real time.
This is day-zero work. You will be part of the founding team and help define the product, architecture, and engineering culture from the start.
What you'll do
- Build core systems: APIs, memory services, eventing, permissions.
- Make early architectural decisions with long-term impact.
- Work across the stack (mostly backend/infra; frontend as needed).
- Take ideas from zero to production quickly.
- Use AI tools daily to design, code, test, and debug.
- Work directly with the founders on technical and product direction.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years shipping real software.
- Strong generalist; not afraid of ambiguity.
- Solid backend and systems experience.
- Product-minded, pragmatic, and fast.
- Comfortable owning things end-to-end.
Nice to have
- AI, agent, or infra experience.
- Early-stage startup or founding-team background.
- Open-source or public technical work.
Why Ensue
- Founding-team role with real ownership.
- Hard, fundamental problem in AI infrastructure.
- Small team, minimal process, high trust.
- Competitive comp and meaningful equity.
Bonus
If this resonates, DM one of the founders on X with: what you've built, why Ensue, and a link to your work. We read every message.
